Come out and join the fun!

Thanks to Overbrook Rotary!

We would like to thank Overbrook Rotary for the generous donation of the bench on the west side of the library. This is the first of several benches that will be donated by the Rotary.

It looks great and will provide a valuable place for people to wait for rides or just take a seat outside the building.

Next time you see a Rotarian, be sure to let them know you appreciate the bench.

Are you up for a Challenge?

Are you an avid reader? Think you can out-read the librarian? We’re tracking all of the books Kyle reads this summer (starting May 19th through our Friends of the Library Book Sale ending July 29th) and keeping a running list of books and page total up on the wall inside the west entrance.

Stop by and check out what Kyle has read recently. Or, if you’re tough enough, keep track of your own summer reading and see if you can out-read the librarian!

Great Character Cake Pans Available

The Overbrook library has a big selection of specialty bakeware to lend out (175 items), but did you know 28 of those are Character cake pans, including several Sesame Street Characters, Esmeralda, Dora, Superhero & He-Man, Taz, Winnie the Pooh, G.I. Joe, Mickey Mouse, Scooby Doo, Garfield and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle? Looking for something specific? You can browse our binder of items on the bakeware display, or browse from the website, or come by and ask. If we don’t have it, we might be able to get it from another library who has cake pans to loan out.

Spring is almost here! Get Ready

We’re very excited to be hosting a pair of gardening classes presented by the Frontier Extension District #11 coming up in march. Please come out and hear all about the wonders of starting / maintaining your own garden on Thursday March 2nd and Thursday March 30th.

We hope you will join us to learn how to make your garden amazing this summer!
