Overbrook Public Library – Library Associate (part-time)
Overbrook Library is currently seeking a part time (approx. 10-15 hrs per week) Library Associate. The person in this position will perform general library tasks, including but not limited to: staffing the circulation desk and using our Koha catalog system to circulate materials and troubleshoot patron account issues, placing requests for items from other libraries, shelving library materials, answering patron reference questions, creating library displays, and opening and closing the library.
In addition, this position will assist the librarian with supervising our children’s summer reading activities and other library programs, as well as helping to maintain the library social media presence.
The successful candidate must be available for either opening (9:30am-2pm) or closing (2pm-6pm) shifts on weekdays, as well as every third Saturday morning from 8:30-1.
Starting pay range $9-$11/hr depending on qualifications. Previous library experience is strongly preferred. Successful completion of a background check is required.
