Are you interested in baseball? Want to hear about the history of the Kansas City Monarchs as well as their trip to Overbrook in 1954?
Join us at the library, where author and co-founder of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum Phil S. Dixon will present:
“The Kansas City Monarchs in Your Hometown” on Saturday, September 29th at 10:30am.
The event is free to the public and should be a “home run” for all ages.
This presentation is a Humanities Kansas program in partnership with the Overbrook Public Library.
